Planning Meeting for Upcoming 5th Anniversary events in Capital Region and a conference in the spring. War, Healthcare, Energy,Global Warming, The Country we Want to Be, Civil Liberties, and High Tech organizing. From the proposal that was previously presented: " Standing Together for Peace and Justice…The war, global warming, the erosion of our civil liberties and a media that does not provide us with the real information, have left many of us feeling powerless and afraid. We fear the future will consist of more war, increased climate change and loss of our freedom.....What can we do? 9/11 Truth UAlbany will be screening "Iraq for Sale", a documentary about private mercenary corporations in Iraq. This is especially timely as Blackwater, one of the biggest of these corporations, has just been kicked out of Iraq for killing civilians. We will also be joined by Jimmy Massey, a member of Iraq Veterans for Peace, featured in "The Ground Truth". He will give a short speech and then answer audience questions on the movie and Iraq in general.

Active Duty GIs from Fort Drum are calling for this Peace Rally in Syracuse on September 29th, 2007. NEPAJAC (NORTHEAST PEACE AND JUSTICE ACTION COALITION) is planning a caravan to carry Peace Activists from the Albany Capital District and Hudson Valley Regions to this anti-war rally. A dedicated group of people have been meeting every Monday during rush hour at the corners of Routes 155 and 20. The positive response from commuters has been tremendous! Several new members have joined as a result of passing by our vigil.
